The winners of this year's D&AD Awards were announced at a ceremony in London last week. Five black pencils were awarded, as well as four white and 44 yellow. Here are the Who’s Who of the event.
Somesuch & Co for Sport England
Leo Burnett took home a Black Pencil for the much talked about “Like a Girl” campaign for Always (P&G). It was also the most awarded project of this year’s D&AD, also bagging an additional two yellow pencils, three graphite and two wood.
4creative’s on-screen idents received a Black Pencil. They were crafted using custom equipment to create a moving film-strip effect, inspired by classic movie scenes.
Marcel Worldwide's "Inglorious Fruits & Vegetables" took home a Black Pencil
New Zealand agency Colenso BBDO took a Black Pencil for Pedigree's "K9FM" - a radio channel for dogs, which broadcast soothing music and company for pets left alone at home
Made Thought designed a new visual identity, website and brand book for paper company G.F Smith - including a new sans typeface - which also bagged a D&AD Black Pencil
R/GA was the most awarded ad agency with a portfolio including work for Beats, Alvio and Google. The most awarded production company was Somesuch & Co. who was behind FCB Inferno’s punchy “This Girl Can” for Sport England, and the most awarded design agency was Design Bridge.
