Take a wild guess!

Editor-in-chief Michael Weinzettl introduces the five cover options for the upcoming Vol. 4-16.

Although I always try to make it clear when I ask for your opinion/assistance/in-put about what should grace the cover of an upcoming edition of Archive that the readers' votes is just ONE of the factors we consider of what to put on the front page of the magazine, there is always a bit of an outcry when we at Archive then go ahead and decide on something other than the option that was the most popular among our users. (As you can imagine, the outcry does not come from the ones involved in what we do select...)

So this time around, we decided to do it differently: We present you with the five options for Vol. 4-16, AFTER having decided what will be our next cover. And we ask you to guess which one it will be. You can do this on our Facebook group page by leaving the number (or client or agency name) of your guess as a comment. On the right you can see the original ads from which the cover options were taken.

One of those who get it right will win a one-year-subscription to the magazine. Good luck!

The options this time around come from:

BBDO, Dusseldorf, Germany, for their client Pepsi-Cola:

The following is from a Canon ad by Ogily & Mather, Tokyo, featuring a Bruce Willis lookalike:

Number three is taken from an ad for Tic Tac breath fresheners by La Comunicad, Buenos Aires:

Cover option four comes from DM9DDB, Sao Paulo and is for a taxi app:

And, finally, cover option number 5, which also comes from Publicis, Mexico City and is taken from a campaign for Garnier hair products:

The strong Latino presence among the cover alternatives is representative of the high number of contributions from that region featured in Vol. 4-16, in which you will find a total of 110 print campaigns.

Now, head on over to Facebook and let us know your guess of which one of these is going to grace our 4-16 cover on. I'll be interested to see how well you can predict what we have selected. The lucky winner of the 1-year-subscription to Lürzer's Archive picked from those who guessed right, will be announced next week.
