And this is what we know about the brand new agency:
After a successful career in advertising and political marketing in Brazil, Chief Creative Officer Marcelo Kertesz, together with entrepreneurs John McBeath and Kimberly Barr and designer Hugo Aranha are launching Jane&Jay Brands — a branding and advertising company specialized in the exponentially growing cannabis industry like a rocket to the moon, Marcelo Kertesz has had a very unique professional trajectory. To give a quick example, a creative by trade, Marcelo has acted decisively in seven presidential election campaigns, in five different countries. ("Thankfully not for that hateful Bolsinharo, I feel compelled –and hasten to –add!!") From these seven campaigns, he won six. Starting his career as an art director in São Paulo, Brazil, Marcelo quickly won recognition in the field working for renowned agencies like Lew, Lara/TBWA, DM9DDB and later Africa Propaganda, where he was a VP of Creative, handling clients such as Budweiser, Suzuki Motors, Walmart and Banco Itaú. With all the important national and international advertising awards throughout his life, Marcelo also collects unique accomplishments, such as a Latin Grammy nomination. Not for his musical abilities, but in the Best Recording Packaging category. By the end of 2014, after a political stream of 5 campaigns in 2 years, Marcelo decided to go back to his consumer roots and moved to the US, where he later met John McBeath and Kimberly Barr, two successful business entrepreneurs based in Las Vegas, Nevada.“We immediately connected on a strong shared vision of how design and business should work together and on the idea of iterating fast to quickly to get the best results. John, Kimberly and I are like a rocket and rocket fuel”, says Kertesz.
