I love working.
And I love being at home.
Just not at the same time.
But on the current list of global catastrophes, my preferred working routine really is at the bottom.
So far though, it’s all going well. I’ve put photos of my bosses and creative talismen (Atomic Creative Partners Dave Henderson and Guy Bradbury) on the wall of my designated office space*.
Way weirder than that, I have a bed next to me.
I have so far resisted the urge of having a ‘creative dream session’ or ‘inspirational nap’ – but it is handy for just chilling on and thinking of ideas.
Atomic has been brilliant at taking care of us and making sure we have what we need.
Even video calling (usually the bane of my life) has been amazingly smooth. Enjoyable even. As it’s wonderful to see my colleagues’ cheerful faces (and home décor). Because what I miss most is the human connection. I’m doing the same things as usual (as its all systems go) possibly with even less distractions.
But I miss the distractions because they come from all the weird and wonderful colleagues I’m proud to call friends.
I hope we can all be together soon.
Stay safe, people!
