Nicholas Capanear, EVP, ECF at GSW New York
"The first thing that's funny to me was finding out that my daily lifestyle is actually called "quarantine."
However my commute went from 10 minutes to 10 seconds, so can't complain about that.
I am quickly becoming an expert at dialing in to virtual meetings and realizing how much i dislike it.
We are looking at ways of keeping our teams socially engaged which is of course one of the best aspects of working at an agency because our office is effectively closed for some time into the future.
Virtual work is oddly and alarmingly a seamless transition, I think agencies are going to start looking at the rent they pay each month (especially in places like New York City) and questioning whether the overhead is completely necessary.
Advertising is already a pretty great job … I show up to work in jeans and a t-shirt most days anyway … being able to creative direct from a jacuzzi is practically the only thing that could make it better."
