Even though daylight hours will be increasing in the upcoming weeks, car drivers still have to deal with those dark and foggy winter days and slippery roads: As you might have guessed, we're here to talk about “road safety”. As such, we present a collection of the best road safety campaigns of the last year and some of the more recent ones.
Needless to say, we have seen many commercials fluttering in over the past few years. There isn’t hardly an issue of Luerzer's Archive which does not include a spot about road safety. Their messages differ from “don’t drink and drive”, to “don’t text and drive” and even to driving role models.
The recent Bosch commercial by Grey, New York is saying for example: “Don’t be a killer car.” The brand, with its ICON wiper blades, focuses on dead animals, which get killed by road collissions.
Two spots, which are going to be featured in the upcoming Luerzer's Archive Vol. 1-2016 are „Anatomy of A Split Second“ for RSA Ireland by Irish International BBDO, Dublin and „Alerts“ by The Leith Agency, Edinburgh for the Scottish Government.
THINK! impressed with last year's outdoor campaign for safer country roads. Why not using sheep and cows as living traffic signs? Watch the spot „Helpful Hazards“ from agency AMV BBDO, London here:
You can look out for a driver's role model on puppet strings in this spot for Transport Accident Commission by Clemenger BBDO, Melbourne (Luerzer's Archive Vol. 3-2015).
Simple and well crafted, this spot for KIA by Saatchi & Saatchi, Dubai was published in Luerzer's Archive Vol. 3-2015.
