The two-minute Tchaikovsky themed film tells the story of a girls’ festive night out. After arriving at a glamorous party at the Candyland bar, ‘Clara’ catches the eye of the ‘Nutcracker Prince’ and the pair begin to dance flirtatiously.
However, in the BBH London ad, the sinister ‘Mouse King’ also has sights set on Clara, and a thrilling dance sequence ensues as the men ‘fight’ over the woman.

In a twist to the story, rather than sit back and watch, Clara joins in and rescues her preferred suitor before returning to party with her girlfriends. The spot ends with the tagline: ‘Spend time with the girls this Christmas’.
Behind the choreography is Benjamin Millepied, famed for his work on the Oscar-winning Black Swan and the set was designed by Sarah Greenwood, who has previously worked on films including Pride & Prejudice and Atonement.
The stars of the ad are played by Steven McRae and Thiago Soares, both principal dancers with The Royal Ballet, and Iana Salenko, guest principal with The Royal Ballet.
