Lastminute.com makes probably the most sexually suggestive ad montage we’ve ever seen. You’ll never look at bakers the same way again.
How did you spend your Valentine’s Day? Travel company lastminute.com attempted to seduce holidaymakers to enjoy the “Sexy Delights of Europe” through a sexually suggestive montage of the continents sights.
The brand aimed to position itself as the go-to site for #lustminute city breaks and gifts, and will be sure to make viewers blush.
The film, created by adam&eveDDB ditches chocolates and roses - instead, showcasing a series of suggestive images of famous art, monuments and delicacies from across Europe, including glimpses of Le Pedrera in Barcelona, Europe’s pâtissiers in action, winding canals of Venice, erupting fountains and even a clip involving a bottle of sun cream.
The work was written by Frances Leach, art directed by Christopher Bowsher and directed by Robert Smith through Cain & Abel.
“Who would have thought Europe is such a sensually enticing place,” said the brand’s Communications Director, Amanda Cumine. “With our video we want to put a smile on people’s face or pink flush on their cheeks and reinforce our irreverent brand personality: Valentine’s Day is a great occasion to remind everyone of how fun spontaneity is and the reasons to love living last minute – doing this in a bit of a cheeky way sits at the heart of everything we do.
“In the past year we’ve created some very successful, hilarious videos and we’ve got quite a crush on them now. It fits our passion to let the unexpected happen more often and it’s a great way of showcasing our playful and quirky traits through various channels.”
