The live installation on a Shanghai billboard.
Over the course of a ten-day live installation on a prominent billboard in Shanghai, the sock-like Nike Free Flyknit was "knitted" thread by thread over a bare foot by four installation professionals.
Wieden + Kennedy's installation aimed to promote "the ultimate achievement in knitting technology".

The live installation, over the course of ten days, re-purposed a prominent advertisement panel in China's capital city, combining the "second-skin fit" of flyknit construction and "ultimate flexibility" of Nike Free onto a two-dimensional surface.
Thread by thread, the intervention covers the image of a bare foot in real time, mimicking the 'flyknit' process.
