A 66-year-old David Bowie serenades model Arizona Muse at a Venetian masked ball in Louis Vuitton’s lavish commercial.
The over the top ad was directed by Romain Gavras, who has previously been behind the camera for the likes of Dior Homme and Jay-Z & Kanye West’s “No Church in the Wild”.
In the spot, Bowie plays a harpsichord version of "I'd Rather Be High," a song from his latest album, while outlandish characters prance around. Muse is later is seen alone and departing by red-sailed boat.
The spot is a continuation of Vuitton's "L'Invitation au Voyage" campaign, which launched last November with the brand's first ever television spot, also starring Arizona Muse.
Directed by Inez & Vinoodh, the short film was set to John Murphy’s “In the House – In a Heartbeat” and showcased the label’s Speedy Monogram Empreinte bag with a series of romantic images and film in the Louvre.
