The campaign also held 'Serenade Live', an eight-hour YouTube event which utilised social media to ask Facebook and Twitter followers if they would like to go on a legendary date and surprise their loved one in an unexpected fashion. The most unique, moving, bizarre and original stories were selected for the show and performed live by the
the Serenade band.
Mark Bernath, Executive Creative Director at Wieden+Kennedy Amsterdam said: "In a way, we want people to be in the films we make. The idea of giving Heineken drinkers the band from the spot to help them ask someone out is our way to make that happen for real. Let's hope we make a load of offers that can't be refused."
