Users can create their own music blend mix using the Mercedes-Benz cross-device online ‘mash-up’ tool.
Visitors to “Sound with Power” can mix various sounds, music and video featuring Mercedes AMG sound, Tinie Tempah & Sub Focus plus other. People can share their mix on social networks and selected mixes will air on TV.
The interactive website was created by AMV BBDO and B-Reel.
“We were acutely aware of the many challenges and limitations working with multiple videos and audio on mobile platforms, so we set to work on finding a compelling solution to achieve the same experience across all devices,” says B-Reel.
“We have developed a bespoke nodeJS-based system to convert the video into a format which allows us to dynamically playback multiple video clips on the site, across platforms, and at a number of different sizes and qualities depending on the viewers hardware and browser. These are also frame-synchronised to the audio. All of this means we can deliver a perfectly synced and fluid journey for the viewer throughout the experience.”
B-Reel worked with Ithaca Audio to create an eclectic library of sound and video loops - ranging from sounds drawn directly via the car to recognised samples including Tinie Tempah and the children’s classic, Stingray!
