Coke Zero has invited users to create their own tacky Christmas sweater in Droga5’s latest campaign.
Consumers can embrace the Christmas spirit and get creative with Coke Zero’s online microsite. The drinks brand has given online consumers the chance to design their very own cheesy festive jumper – you know – the kind your aunt knitted for you in the 80s, which you threw away but now wish had kept because they’re so trendy these days.
On Droga5’s “Sweater Generator”, users can customise jumpers using various colours, knitted characters and tacky backdrops. Submitted designs will be displayed in a gallery on the site, where people can vote for their favourite.
“The tacky holiday sweater is a time-honored staple of holiday cheer. Now, for the first time, you can have the sweater you’ve always dreamed of without any of the frustrating trips to the thrift store,” says Coke Zero.
“Introducing the Coke Zero Sweater Generator. Harness the power of a thousand grandmothers in the palm of your internet.
“Over the course of two weeks, Coke Zero is asking tacky sweater masterminds around the country to unleash their creative juices and design the ultimate holiday sweater. The 100 best will be carefully handcrafted by loving machines and shipped to their loving creators, just in time for the tacky sweater loving season.
“We guarantee that each sweater will be Made in America/Full of Cheer. So get your knit on and Enjoy Everything this holiday season.”
