Twitter has launched an ‘illustrated tweet’ feature, which lets you create an original masterpiece (or not) or draw over your favourite images before sharing them with friends – à la Snapchat.
Twitter’s app for Android users is optimised specifically for Android tablets and contains a feature that allows you to directly draw on your photos before you share them with others. Alternatively, you can start with a blank canvas and create your own masterpiece.
“Twitter for Android Tablets will first be available on Samsung tablets, starting [10 October] with the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1-2014 Edition, and it will come to other Android tablets by the end of the year,” said Twitter Senior Product Manager, Michael Ducker.
“You can now use Twitter as your canvas to create and tweet colorful illustrations, or you can also draw directly on photos from your photo gallery and share them. The ability to doodle also works with the S-Pen, which is available on the Galaxy Note 10.1-2014 Edition.”
