Hinderling Volkart creates an interactive brand experience platform for Swiss Airlines.
The “World of Swiss” platform by Hinderling Volkart, Zurich, has features such as a 3D scrolling experience, a live route network, custom produced films and the Swiss Airlines fleet.
Viewers can take off virtually and find out just what makes the airline unique. There are custom produced films, one of which allows the user to experience the day of a cabin crew member. Little bubbles pop up, which you can click on to choose to pause the video to read more.
For instance, users can learn about the crew briefing:
“Before departure, the Maître de Cabine informs the incoming cabin crew of the number of passengers and the service, tasks are allocated and emergency procedures are discussed. The pilots provide details about the route and weather conditions. The briefing reassures crew members that they are part of a professional and reliable team.”
Or a bit more about those complimentary little chocolates you get during a flight:
“Swiss passengers are welcomed, farewelled and pampered with these sweet treats. 45,000 little SWISS chocolates are freshly produced every day and represent the taste of a tradition with distinction: pure Swiss chocolate.”
In fact, there is another short film dedicated entirely to the detail of the production of Swiss chocolate. From the origin of the cocoa bean in Central Africa to learning about viscosity – a chocolate’s flow properties, ensuring a perfectly blended and smooth chocolate.
There’s even an interactive slideshow which lets you explore Swiss traditions, including the Neuenburg Vintage Festival: Wine making in the mild climate of Lake Neuenburg dates back to the 10th century and is celebrated every year at the beginning of the traditional harvest.
There is a children's procession, "Guggenmusik", costumed groups and a parade of decorated grape-harvest carts. Food and drink is also celebrated on the squares and alleys of Neuenburg's Old Town.
