Clive Stewart's tongue-in-cheek style has brought humour to many ads over the years. The Johannesburg photographer has had 21 campaigns published in Lürzer's Archive to date, including print ads for Harley-Davidson and Apple Computer.

At the moment, I am working on...
On the local front I have been doing Renault, Toyota, Visa and various mobile networks. Internationally the last campaign was for Old Spice, which is still to be launched.
The best creative work at the moment is...
As one knows, it's all subjective. I did see something for Yamaha as well as some illustrations from DDB, Mozambique for a breast cancer campaign which was cool.
What inspires my work is...
Creative teams that have the same sense of humour, who are eager and push for good work. Also seeing other new photographers work inspires me to do better and to build my portfolio more.
The festival I will attend this year is...
I always try and make Loerie and Eagle Advertising awards in South Africa. The Loerie Awards is our biggest calendar event and it is always good to see local content. Eagles is more print-orientated and a fun evening afterwards also helps!
The best year to be creative was...
Guess that is different for everyone, however for me it would have to be the early 90s. There was a good agency vibe around with lots of award-winning enthusiasm and teams were focused on doing good print. Nowadays, creatives tend to focus more on television and electronic media and it's difficult to find 'print specialist' teams
The next big thing in the world of advertising will be...
Not really a betting man myself, however I'd put my money on a small for an agency that recently started up in New York called The Bull-Whitehouse. If I were an up and coming creative I'd get my ass over there quickly.
In a film, I would like to be played by...
LOL - never given that much of a thought! Asked my wife and she reckons a Molotov cocktail comprising of Russell Brand, Tim Robbins and Jason Statham. Good luck chaps!!
I most admire...
People that come into our industry who climb the ladder and remain nice. You don't have to act like a chop to be a good creative. Life is too short and one should work with cool people and cool agencies.
My dream collaboration is...
Two blondes and a redhead (a term used in the movie industry for lights). Or I would like to take the best creatives and best suites I have met in my 23 year career and form one shit hot agency. Not sure what my new job description would be though.
In up and coming talent I look for...
They should be very 'hungry' and do more than what is asked of them. Have good life skills and a personality to go with it. You can always teach someone work and creative skills, however it's not so easy to teach them manners.
A piece of criticism I've received is...
The list is endless I'm sure. Some art directors even demand sharp in focus images!
The last song I listened to was...
My son was drumming Bruno Mars into my head the other day while driving him back to school.
