Rodrigo Almeida is creative director at AMP, an advertising agency from Goiás - Brazil. When he was a child, he loved watching TV and creating his own stories to explain everything, like why the giraffe is called giraffe. “I grew up and continued enjoying it. And you can't find that in law school.”

The first thing I do in my day is...
Hit the snooze.
At the moment I am working on...
A campaign for Unimed - a Brazilian health insurance, about the importance of preserving water.
The best piece of creative work around at the moment is...
One campaign that I liked recently was "The Pony" created for Three Mobile by Wieden & Kennedy. I loved the fun and nonsense idea and it is a great example of how create a message fully integrated to the product and carrying out a concept able to work well in all media types.
I am inspired by...
New challenges and everything I haven't done yet. Many people like to remember their past achievements. I prefer to think of everything that can still be conquered. That's my fuel.
This year I’ll be attending...
Cannes Lions and I hope in the next edition of Lürzer's Archive.
In a film about my life, I’d like to be played by...
Edward Norton
The next big thing in advertising is going to be...
Something we could call individual advertising. We must stop dividing the audience into groups and start talking to each consumer individually. The colours, text and images will be designed according to the personal tastes of consumers, creating dialogues stronger and more enduring relationships with brands.
Social media is an engine that motivates that. They make the consumer seek dialogue and a relationship that is more personalised.
The advertising work I wish I had thought of is...
The "Jogger", a film created for Nike. Today we have so many resources and technology available, that so many people end up forgetting. Usually, the most important: the strength of the concept. In this film we can see how the strength of a stunning concept, becomes a simple story into something extraordinary. This should inspire us all.
The screen background on my mobile phone is...
My last vacation to Mexico
My last social media update said...
“A good wine for a good weekend.”
My dream collaboration is...
JJ Abrams, Tarantino and his dialogues, Marcello Serpa and I after 10am.
In up and coming talent, I look for...
A furious wish to leave his mark in the world
A piece of criticism I’ve received was...
Go back home early and answer the phone.
The last song I listened to was...
Uprising by Muse.
