Born Free Foundation “The Bitter Bond”# This two-minute animated film should show how many people are unaware of the shocking true destiny of many of South Africa’s lions. First we see a sweet story of a baby lion, being cuddled and fed, only to be released and fooled by the person who raised him into death. This is a tragic end which unfortunately is reality. At least 70% of South Africa’s lions are born in captivity and bred for tourists to hug and take pictures with. Then when they are too big, they are sold to hunters and shot in “canned hunting“ facilities.
