KFC “Crossroads”# While KFC is all about chicken, Christmastime is all about turkey, so what an ironic roll-out this ad actually is. It shows a turkey and a chicken meeting in a showdown-style scene playing to “The Ecstasy of Gold,” part of Ennio Morricone’s score to the 1966 film The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. Will they fight, and which will take flight first? On this, the pay-off is quite unequivocal: “Turkey comes and goes, chicken’s here to stay.”
