STENDAHLS The Hypnotic Cinema # We are struggling to describe this film. Trippy, mind-bending, just plain weird all spring to mind. The background is that, as part of the Gothenburg Film Festival, organisers aimed to disrupt the cinema experience by performing ‘mass’ hypnotism on audiences. We have no idea whether this worked … but in a strange hypnotic way, the film does.
