Sick children who have to spend Christmas in hospital are given a VR headset to provide them with a touch of festive spirit, immersing them in a world of Christmas lights and glitter. To round out the experience, they also get a gift – a real one! – from Santa.
Eugen Suman: “Wonderful activation by Honda and RPA for kids forced to spend the holidays in hospital. Great way to put a human touch in VR and proof that this technology can be used to convey emotion and do good at the same time. The next couple of years we’ll see VR used more and more and so we can expect VR activations and stunts to happen exponentially as the technology gains widespread use. If I were allowed to bet, I’d say that the first issue of Luerzer’s in the year 2018 will have more than half of the digital selection happen in VR.”
