Channel 4 – Idents
A giant metal construction – a humanoid version of the broadcaster’s logo – is at the center of this series of idents for Channel 4. It is first to be seen hoisting refugees from a boat up onto the white cliffs of Dover, while in another film it climbs to the top of a hill and emits a frightful sound that sends inhabitants of the town below into a scary spin designed to symbolize the station’s alternative programming agenda. Directed by Doug Wilson, who also shot the preceding commercial – Superhumans – for Channel 4.
