Birmingham Midshire Building Society “Babies” [00:40], “Winner” + “Handsful” [00:20]# “I didn’t expect that,” is a young man’s response to the following incidents: His wife gives birth to sextuplets (whose uncanny resemblance to their father is a wonder of special effects and something to behold!) a meter maid teas up the ticket she has just written out when she is shown a Polaroid of the six babies. On walking into a pub to fortify himself after this dramatic day he learns that, as the 1000th customer, he’s going to get free drinks for life. When life exceeds one’s expectations, we learn, we need a building society that can live up to this Which is why one should join the Birmingham Midshires Building Society. The following tow commercials then illustrate some of the services offered by them – high interest on saving accounts and the fact that they also pay house calls should the client be to busy to come to the bank himself – which in the case of the young father really is the case.
